The album was released digitally on September 11, 2009, and its United Kingdom and international release followed on September 14 that same year.[16] It is the final installment in The Blueprint trilogy, preceded by the critically acclaimed The Blueprint(2001) and its follow-up The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse (2002).
